Rehiring in Job Data using action/reason REH from a pre-conversion termination row:
The action/reason REH functions by reviewing data in the prior row on an employee's Job Data panel. Due to conversion, and the use of future dated termination rows, many employee records may contain a conversion row transferring them to the new department number followed by a termination row that still includes the inactive department number. Inserting a REH row after this termination row will pick up the inactive department number without validating the information against the current row in Position Data. This has created problems with employees earnings not distributing during paycheck distribution due to the inactive department.
If an employee's prior row is a termination row that includes an inactive department, users inserting a REH row will need to delete the position number and save the panel. Then rekey the position number and tab out of the position number field. This will force the panel to validate against the current effective dated row in Position Data rather than picking up the data from the prior termination row.
