Batch Leave Accrual Process - Resume

Batch Leave Accrual Process (located at Go > BOR Interfaces and Reports > Process > Batch Leave Accrual)

You may resume use of the Batch Leave Accrual process IF AND ONLY IF all of your leave plans are current, meaning that the last accrual process date was any date during the previous month. Please verify that your leave plans are current as follows:

Go > Define Business Rules > Define Base Benefits.
Setup > Leave Plan Table > Leave Plan Table 1 > Update/Display.

Click OK. Select the first plan in the list. Locate the Accrual Process Date. This date must be in the month prior to the month for which you intend to run the process. For example, if you want to run the Batch Leave Accrual Process for any date in April 2001, the Accrual Process Date for each plan must be any date in March 2001. Use the 'Next in List' icon on your toolbar to verify that each leave plan is current, even the ones in which no employee is currently enrolled.

If a leave plan is not current, you must run the Leave Accrual Process (not Batch) once for each month that the plan is behind. The Leave Accrual Process is located at Go > Compensate Employees > Administer Base Benefits > Process > Leave Accrual Process. For example, if the Accrual Process Date for a plan is 09/30/2000 and you are preparing to run leave accruals for 04/30/2001, you must run the leave accrual process for this plan six times beginning with October 2000 and ending with March 2001.

If you accidentally use the wrong date (i.e., skip a month) when trying to bring a leave plan current, please contact OIIT Customer Services immediately.

Once you have brought all plans current, you may resume use of the Batch Leave Accrual Process.

It is recommended that you keep all leave plans current, regardless of which leave accrual process you intend to use in the future.
