PeopleSoft HRMS Known Issues and Information:
Payrun ids
We have recently learned that the Benefits Encumbrance Interface ( BORI015) uses the payrun id to determine how to accurately project for faculty members.
The BORI015 adds 2 to the number of faculty pay periods during the months in which we are using the 5/5 rates so as to accurately project during those months. The Interface determines that a 5/5's rate is being used based on the payrun id -- the procedure looks at the first digit of the pay run ID and requires that this digit conform to the standard pay run ID naming conventions, i.e. number 8 for August, 9 for September, letter O (not zero) for October, N for November and D for December.
Although the payrun id 'standards' in EUT are referred to as suggestions, the naming convention must be used for the payrolls in which you plan to run the BORI015 to get accurate projections for faculty members. The suggested naming convention is as follows:
| First Digit: Month Year | Second Digit: Payroll of Month | Third Digit: Last Digit of Calendar |
| 1 -- Jan | 1 -- First | 8 -- 1998 |
| 2 -- Feb | 2 -- Second | 9 -- 1999 |
| ...... | 3 -- Third | 0 -- 2000 |
| 9 -- Sept | 1 -- 2001 | |
| O -- Oct | ||
| N -- Nov | ||
| D -- Dec |
If you have not followed the naming convention above in the past, you may have trouble using it in certain months since each payrun id can only be used once and it is possible that you have already used the appropriate payrun id in a prior month. In these cases, please remember that it is the first digit of the payrun id that determines how faculty rates will be projected. Also this is only an issue on the payrolls that will be projected (i.e. your combined payroll).
