CUFA Access of Files FTP'd from HRMS

PeopleSoft HRMS Known Issues and Information:

CUFA access of files ftp'd from HRMS

CUFA users have had problems accessing the files ftp'd from HRMS. Below are the instructions for ftp to CUFA, with Steps 10 - 14 resolving this issue.

1. Double Click on the WS_FTP95 icon on your desktop. The Session Properties dialog box displays.
    
2. Click on the down arrow next to the Profile Name field and select BFS System.
    
3. Enter your Unix ID and your password in the User ID and Password fields.
    
4. Click on OK. This brings you to the WS_FTP95 LE dialog box.
    
5. Click on the down arrow next to the Local directory field and select C:\temp\.
    
6. Click on the down arrow next to the Remote System Directory field and select /BFS/ACCTNG/EDIT.
   Note: In July and August, be sure you specify the correct fiscal year directory: e.g., /BFS/ACCTNGN.
    
7. Click on the ASCII radio button.
    
8. Click on the GJPXXX file that you want to transfer.
    
9. Click on the Right Arrow button to transfer the file.
    
10. Click on the down arrow next to the Remote System Directory and select the file you just transferred.
     
11. Click the right mouse button and a drop down menu will appear.
     
12. Select chmod (UNIX).
     
13. A menu box will appear with:
     

    OWNER	GROUP	OTHER
    Read	Read	Read
    Write	Write	Write
    Execute	Execute	Execute

    
    Click on Read, Write in the OWNER box.
    Click on Read, Write in the GROUP box.
    Click on Read in the OTHER box.
     
14. Click on OK.
     
15. Click on the Exit button after the transfer is complete.
