BCBS Interface: Update 01/08/03

Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Georgia (BCBSGA) has processed the backlog of files sent while their system was offline from 12/23/02 until 01/07/02. Notifications were sent via the USG-BCBS-L listserv indicating which files were processed.

Users may begin sending regular production files to BCBSGA for the purpose of updating QCare as of 3pm today, 01/08/02.

Please remember to only run the BCBS Interface using today's date. Do not produce and send files using a future date at any time.

An issue has been identified with email notifications being sent by BCBSGA not being posted to the USG-BCBS-L listserv on occasion. The source of this problem has been identified and BCBSGA is working on changing the format of the email notifications to avoid bouncing emails to our listserv. Until then, some notifications may not be by broadcast by the listserv properly. Users can review QCare within 48 hours after sending their files to determine if their updates have been made if they do not receive a notification via the listserv.
