Please distribute the following as needed. Action is required. KI0099 - Incorrect Supplemental Life Deduction Calculation SUBJECT: Supplemental Life Deduction is calculated at the incorrect Calculate Base for some employees PURPOSE: To alert the institutions who have NOT confirmed the biweekly (pay end date: 10/31/08) and monthly (pay end date: 10/31/08) payrolls of the supplemental life deduction calculation problem. FUNCTIONAL IMPACT: Due to a modification made in the 3.34 release to the Supplemental Life Calc Rule table for Calc Rule ID SUPR, and to the Life and AD/D Plan Table for Plan Type 27, Benefit Plans: RGLFA1, RGLFA2, RGLFA3, RGLFB1, RGLFB2, and RGLFB3, supplemental life base may be incorrect for some employees. For those institutions who have not confirmed the biweekly (pay end date: 10/31/08) and monthly (pay end date: 10/31/08) payrolls, the following steps MUST be taken: To resolve the calculation issue, the following steps need to be taken: Go to the Life and AD/D Plan Table (Path: Set Up HRMS, Product Related, Base Benefits, Plan Attributes, Life and AD/D Plan Table) Plan Type: 27 , Benefit Plan: Type in RGLFA1 . Check the Correct History checkbox Delete the 8/1/08 effective dated row. Save the page. Repeat step #3 for the remaining benefit plans under Plan Type 27: RGLFA2, RGLFA3, RGLFB1, RGLFB2, and RGLFB3 Go to the Calculation Rules Table (Path: Set Up HRMS, Product Related, Base Benefits, Rates and Rules, Calculation Rules Table) Calculation Rules Table ID: SUPR . Check the Correct History checkbox Delete the 8/1/08 effective dated row. Save the page. ADDITIONAL NOTES : For those institutions who ALREADY confirmed either one of those payrolls, the above steps still need to be taken and adjustments will be required on the next payroll. Please contact OIIT HelpDesk if assistance is needed to identify the employees whose calculate base was incorrect on the payrolls with pay end date of 10/31/08.
