KI0086 - Request for Year-End Processing Schedules SUBJECT: The 12/28/2007 row to be inserted for 2008 new Premium Rates for Model Plans. PURPOSE: To collect the projected processing date for the first bi-weekly payroll of January 2008. BACKGROUND: As communicated at Georgia Summit and the HR Directors Meeting, OIIT will apply the new Premium Rates for 2008 with an effective date of 12/28/2007, near the end of December via Interim Release 3.28a. The new Premium Rates must be applied prior to beginning the first bi-weekly January 2008 payroll process. It has come to our attention that due to the Holiday schedules some institutions may begin processing the first bi-weekly of January 2008 on or before 12/19/2007. FUNCTIONAL IMPACT: All 2007 payrolls, the Refresh Benefit Snapshot Process (BEN100A), the Comprehensive Benefits Report (BORR025) and the Premium Reconciliation Report (BORR025A) must be completed before the application of the new Premium Rates for 2008. OIIT requests the projected date that your institution will begin processing the first bi-weekly payroll of January 2008 so that we can determine the best time to apply the new Premium Rates to your database. Please email the date to Debbie Farmer at debbie.farmer@usg.edu by November 30, 2007. Once all the GAFirst Institutions have responded with the dates, a follow-up notice with details will be posted.
