KI0014 - FY2005 Department Budget Tables for Group 1

Revised: Aug 12, 2004

Number: KI0014      Status: release 3.03

All Group 1 schools should make the following change to the Department Budget Table rows in the Retiree department for FY2005. Go to Set Up HRMS>Product Related>Commitment Accounting>Budget Information>Department Budget Table>Correct History. Open the Dept Budget Date page for the retiree rows. Change the Default Funding Source Option value in the Funding Defaults group box to “No”. Uncheck all Account Overrides boxes and then save the page.

If this change is not made, the Actuals Distribution process will run to success, but deductions will not distribute for any retiree enrolled only in employer paid benefits. This warning message will be displayed on the Review Error messages page or in the PAY011.sqr:

Deduction Funding Amt Exceeded
The maximum deduction funding amount was exceeded. Remaining amounts must be manually distributed before the posting will balance.

If this warning message appears, correct the employee’s distribution by going to North American Payroll>Payroll Distribution>Commitment Accounting>Review Actuals Distribution>Deductions. Enter the correct information to populate the Distribution and Chart Fields group boxes.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO REVIEW ERROR MESSAGES EVEN WHEN ACTUALS DISTRIBUTION RUNS TO A STATUS OF “SUCCESS”. DO NOT process the GL Interface until all corrections have been made.

All other Department Budget Tables for FY2005 have the value of “Actual” for the Default Funding Source Option with the Accounts Overrides boxes checked on. A program will be run in the next release that will change the values of these fields.
