Inserting a 01/01/2008 row for Tax Form ID W-2 in the Tax Form Definition Table prior to Release 3.35 (12/15/08)
Purpose
To request payroll users to insert a 01/01/2008 row for Tax Form ID W-2 in the Tax Form Definition Table prior to the application of PeopleSoft HRMS Release 3.35 which is scheduled for December 15, 2008.
Functional Impact
PeopleSoft Tax Updates 08D and 08E require that a 01/01/2008 row for Tax Form ID W-2 be present in the Tax Form Definition Table at the time of application of the update. If the 01/01/2008 row does not already exist in the database, please follow the instructions below to insert the 01/01/2008 row.
Go to North American Payroll>Annual Processing>Define Annual Tax Reporting>Tax Form Definitions. Tax Form Identification = W-2. Click Search.
If a 01/01/2008 row appears in the search results, then the row already exists and no further action is required.
If there is no 01/01/2008 row, select the 01/01/2007 row from the search results. Insert a row in the Effective Date group box. The Effective Date of the new row will default to the system date. Change the system date to 01/01/2008. Save the page.
