Who May Attend the Facilities Officers Conference?
The following conference attendance rules ensure equity among Facilities Officers Conference attendees:
All current USG employees may attend the conference upon payment of the required registration fees. USG employees are responsible for their own travel costs in accordance with their home institution rules and regulations regarding travel.
Representatives of State of Georgia agencies may attend the conference by invitation only. These employees are responsible for their own travel costs in accordance with their agency’s rules and regulations regarding travel.
Vendors may attend the training portion of the conference only if at least one of the following conditions applies. These conditions also apply to former USG employees who are currently employed as vendors:
Vendor is a recognized presenter. If so, they are authorized to pay the necessary registration fees and attend the conference. NOTE: Vendors and/or USG personnel who attend only to conduct their presentation, and who do not take part in other sessions or meals/events, are not required to pay the registration fees.
Vendor is a current USG Facilities Advisory Board member. If so, they may attend the conference upon payment of the necessary registration fees.
Vendors are encouraged to participate in the special event upon payment of the required fee for the event only. The special event is designated for USG attendees to have the opportunity to meet with the vendors.
In rare circumstances, exceptions to these rules may be granted. Circumstances where a fee waiver may be granted include the attendance of VIP’s and others that are extended an invitation by the Vice Chancellor.
Some presentations may be restricted to USG personnel only. Such notification will be posted to the agenda and/or announced at the beginning of the presentation.
