Members of the search committee for the next executive vice chancellor and chief academic officer are:
- Dr. Mark Becker, president of Georgia State University, search committee chair
- John Brown, vice chancellor for Fiscal Affairs, USG
- Dr. Virginia Carson, president of South Georgia College
- Dr. Irvin Clarke, vice president of Student Affairs, Savannah State University
- Dr. Tim Hynes, president of Clayton State University
- Dr. Jere Morehead, provost, the University of Georgia
- Dr. David Morgan, executive vice chancellor/chief academic officer, USG (interim)
- Dr. Linda Noble, associate vice chancellor for Faculty Affairs, USG
- Dr. Martha Venn, vice president of Academic Affairs, Macon State College
- Elle Creel, Georgia Institute of Technology student
R. William Funk & Associates, Dallas, will assist in the search and recruitment process. The search committee will select approximately four unranked candidates to recommend to the chancellor, who will interview the finalists and make the final selection of the next chief academic officer.
