About the USG Information Security and ePrivacy Program
USG¹s Information Security and ePrivacy is a leader in promoting and protecting the privacy rights of citizens, USG institutions and the GPLS. Our mission is to identify constituent problems in the privacy area and encourage organizations from businesses to governments to develop fair information practices.
Created by the USG Office of Information Security and started in 2012, the Office is housed within the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia.

- Assists individuals with identity theft and other privacy-related concerns.
- Provides constituent education and information on privacy issues.
- Coordinates with local, state and federal law enforcement on identity theft investigations.
- Recommends policies and practices that protect individual privacy rights.
