Georgia EIA Meeting
The Georgia Chapter of the Environmental Information Association (EIA)will meet on August 20, 2007.
Cyndi Davis from Airgas and Dave Hogue from The Environmental Institute will be showcasing some of the equipment and supplies available to the
asbestos, lead based paint and mold detection and control industries. Some of them are new (such as Bearacade and 3M eraser pads), and some of them are simply an improvement on an old theme (such as Bulldog negative air machines).
Building owners, contractors, consultants will all benefit from this informative presentation. The meeting will be held at The Winter Group (1300 Spring Street, NW) beginning at 5:30 pm. For more information, please visit the EIA Georgia Chapter website.

CHMM Review Course
The Georgia Chapter of the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers is holding a review course for the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) credential at Kennesaw State University on October 16-19, 2007.

Georgia Safety, Health and Environmental Conference
The Georgia Department of Labor's annual safety, health and environmental conference will be held November 6-8, 2007 at the Savannah Marriott Riverfront.
The conference will include sessions on health/industrial hygiene, environmental, safety, and emergency planning. Attendees may also choose to complete an OSHA 10-hour session on General Industry, which begins on November 5.

ACHMM - Georgia Chapter's HAZWOPER Refresher Course
Greetings CHMMs and Interested Guests,
The Georgia Chapter of ACHMM will be holding their annual HAZWOPER
Refresher Course at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA, on
January 22, 2008. This is a great (and inexpensive) opportunity to
satisfy the annual refresher requirement.
Costs are $25 for GA ACHMM 2008 Members and $90 for non-members. If
you are not a 2008 member, you can send a membership check for $25
with your application, giving you the member registration price.
However, you cannot register until after January 14, 2008 so that
existing members have the first opportunity to register.
