| WHY: | Chancellor Davis assumed his duties leading the University System of Georgia's 35 colleges and universities on Mon., Feb. 6, 2006.
He began his tour of the University System's campuses on Fri., Feb. 10, with a visit to Georgia Gwinnett College -- the University System's newest institution. In all, Davis visited five campuses during his first month of service, and will visit seven campuses this month. The chancellor's plan is to visit all 35 USG institutions by mid-June.
