Faced with ever increasing expectations from regulatory agencies, taxpayers, students, state government officials, and society at large, institutions of higher education are being required to align campus priorities with national and state strategic initiatives. This presentation will draw upon elements of the strategic USG Public Agenda imperatives: (1) Academic Excellence and Degree Completion, (2) Economic Development and World Class Research, and 3. Accountability, Efficiency and Innovation. These imperatives provide focus to the major priorities to be pursued.

Tracking progress in the pursuit of the USG Public Agenda is a significant requirement. The success of our efforts will be monitored by many interested parties and will reflect directly on the future of Georgia and its citizens.

• Describe the benefits and challenges in transferring initiatives into measured successes, and
• Discuss other items to be considered in USG Public Agenda execution and progress measurement.
