Instructional Technology Subcommittee
Mission
The primary mission of the ACIT Instructional Technology Subcommittee is to provide advice and consultation to the Vice Chancellor for Information and Instructional Technology and his or her designated staff on the issues surrounding the effective use of instructional technology.
Scope
The advisory function performed by the Subcommittee will primarily take the form of actions and responses to requests from the Vice Chancellor for assistance in planning or reviewing Instructional technology related functions within the University System.
Functional Responsibilities
The Subcommittee is charged with carrying out the following functions:
- build partnerships with the ACIT representatives or their designees so that information on the use of instructional technology is successfully distributed across the System.
- inform the ACIT of emerging trends in IT & the impact on the resources required for developing and delivering instructional technology.
- inform campuses of the various training opportunities available around the state.
- build and foster the development of a System wide pool of experts that can assist faculty who are just getting started using technology in the classroom.
