Area F Guidelines: Radiologic Sciences
Area F for majors within the Allied Health Professions consist of 18 hours of lower-division (1000- and 2000-level) courses related to the specific health professional program of study or be prerequisite to courses required in the major.
REQUIRED OF ALL STUDENTS:
| Anatomy & Physiology with lab | 8 hrs. |
| Physical Science/Physics with lab* | 4 hrs. |
| Guided Electives** | 6-10 hours |

* Course may be satisfied in institutional Areas A through E; in this case Guided Approved Electives (approved by the student's advisor) may be substituted to complete hours in Area F. Choose from math, science, computers, business/ management, education, health professions, developmental psychology, speech. Professional accreditation criteria for diagnostic medical sonography requires physics in Area D or F.
** Choose from statistics, precalculus, other math, science, computers, business/management, education, health professions, developmental psychology, speech. Professional accreditation criteria for radiologic sciences disciplines require either college algebra or precalculus, if not taken in Area A or D.
NOTE: For multi-credential technology track, where applicable, student must meet physics/chemistry requirements for both disciplines. Extra hours will be counted toward the major.
