Area F Guidelines: Family/Child Development

Eighteen (18) semester hours of lower-division (1000- and 2000-level) courses related to the discipline and of other courses which may be prerequisite to higher level courses related to the major.

Each institution will select courses from the electives which best fit their program.

REQUIRED COURSES: 6 hours
Family Development 3 hours
Nutrition 3 hours
GUIDED ELECTIVES: 12 hours
Introductory Child Development 3 hours
Family Economic Environment 3 hours
Psychology or Introductory Sociology 3 hours
Computer Science 3 hours
Speech 3 hours
Foreign Language of International Studies 3 hours
