Area F Guidelines: B.S. in Geography

Area F consists of 18 hours of lower-division (1000- and 2000-level) courses related to the Geography program of study and/or prerequisite to courses required in the major:

(1) Introduction to Geographical Analysis or Statistics 3-4 hours
(2) Calculus, Analytical Calculus and Geometry II
(if not taken in Area D)
3-4 hours
(3) Computer Introduction/Applications 3 hours
(4) Two (2) laboratory science courses (in addition to Area D requirements)
selected from the following:
  Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Geography 0-8 hours
Total 18 hours

(5) If areas (1), (2), and (3) above have already been satisfied, students may make up their 18 hour with other major-related courses in geography, statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, ecology, and physical anthropology.
