Area F Guidelines: Agricultural and Environmental Sciences

Eighteen (18) hours of lower-division (1000- and 2000-level) courses. The courses include those which are prerequisite to higher level major courses and those related to the disciplines within Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

Recommended:
General Biology I & II (with Lab) O*-8 hrs.
General Chemistry I & II (with Lab) O*-8 hrs.
Calculus I & II O*-8 hrs.
Organic Chemistry I (with Lab) O*-4 hrs.
Physical Science I (with Lab) O*-4 hrs.

Guided Electives:
Lower division science courses related to the major such as botany, chemistry, physics, animal science, applied economics, food science, poultry science, horticulture, crop science, genetics, engineering, geology, environmental health science, statistics, computer science: 0 -18 hrs

Total hours:   18 hours

*Some majors may not require this course but will require courses from this group. These required courses may also be satisfied within an institution's Areas A through E.
