| Chancellor's Office | Dr. John Wolfe - priorities in academic affairs are technology, benchmarking, and core curriculum issues. A faculty development calendar is on the web page- www.deai.peachnet.edu\calendar With the increasing admissions standards issues include improving student learning and retention and graduation. The governor's committee will be reporting on their work soon. Each individual institution determines faculty workloads and their calculations. Program review will begin with new programs reviewed in the third year. E-core issues include transferrability, registration, and tuition. If proposing a new program documentation is needed for 1. Need- regional, local, and state. Give details on surveys. 2. Kinds of jobs the graduates will have. 3. Funding- no funding is given for new programs from the Regents. Connect funding to other units. 4. Credentials and complement of faculty. Jim Repella- We need a group to look at manpower needs for health care professionals in the state. Is funding available? Dr. Wolfe- Yes as a collaborative grant. Jim Repella moved that a group be formed to study the manpower needs for health care professionals in Georgia. Seconded by Cathy Rozmus. Approved unanimously. |

| China Trip | Jim Repella discussed the need for raising money from outside the system and increasing nonsystem involvement. The trip includes students and faculty. | |
