Academic planning is at the core of any campus planning effort. Academic planning occurs as decisions are made about what academic programs, degrees, or research the institution will support through resource allocation. The academic plan helps other planners to decide what buildings to upgrade, the necessary student services, the books and journals to purchase, and what technology to acquire and support.
The Office of Academic Planning is responsible for the Academic Affairs Handbook, the 30+ Regents Advisory Academic and Administrative committees; Coordination the USG Liaisons to the Regents advisory committees, as well as the support of the Regents Advisory Committee on Academic Affairs.
